Guided Hiking Tour Along the Elwha River

Towering Trees, Fascinating History and Epic Views

This 2 mile hike is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the forest as well as learn about the Elwha river and the Elwha dam removal. Removal and restoration began in 2011 and at the time it was the largest dam removal in the world. The river is once again home to wild salmon and you can expect big trees, ferns, mushrooms on the trail to the river. The river is also territory of the Klallam People, a local First Nation tribe. Explore the importance and history of this river with a knowledgeable, local tour guide.
